Daily maintenance
Clean the equipment: After each work, use a clean soft cloth or brush to clean the surface of the equipment, paper conveying track, folding parts and bonding parts. Remove residual paper scraps, dust and glue stains to prevent their accumulation from affecting the operation of the equipment. For example, the accumulation of paper scraps on the paper conveying track may cause poor paper conveying, which in turn causes paper jams.

Check the connection of components: Check whether the connecting screws and nuts between the various components of the equipment are loose. Especially in parts with frequent vibrations, such as transmission devices and motor connections. Tools such as wrenches can be used for tightening to avoid equipment failure or unstable operation due to loose components. For example, loose motor connection screws may cause the motor to move during operation, affecting the power transmission efficiency.
Lubricate key parts: Lubricate key moving parts such as the transmission chain, gears, and bearings of the equipment. Use lubricating oil suitable for the equipment and add it according to the specified oiling points. Generally speaking, the transmission chain needs to be dripped with lubricating oil at least 1-2 times a week to reduce component wear and extend the service life of the equipment.

Check wearing parts: Check the wear of wearing parts such as cutters and hemming devices every day. If the cutter becomes blunt or the hemming device is deformed or damaged, replace it in time. For example, a blunt cutter will cause uneven cuts on the carton, affecting product quality.

Regular maintenance
Deep cleaning: Perform deep cleaning every two weeks. In addition to the areas that are cleaned daily, the equipment casing needs to be opened to clean the internal electrical components and mechanical structures. Use compressed air to blow away the dust inside to prevent dust accumulation from affecting electrical performance and mechanical operation. For example, too much dust in the electrical control cabinet may cause a short circuit.
Full inspection of mechanical parts: Perform a full inspection of the mechanical parts of the equipment every month. This includes checking the tightness of the belt of the transmission device, which can be judged by pressing the middle of the belt and observing its deformation degree. Generally, the deformation should be within the specified range, otherwise the belt needs to be adjusted or replaced; check the concentricity of each shaft component to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
Calibrate equipment parameters: Calibrate various parameters of the carton machine every quarter, such as paper delivery length, folding angle, bonding time, etc. Use professional measuring tools and make adjustments according to the technical standards of the equipment to ensure the production accuracy and quality stability of the carton. For example, inaccurate paper delivery length will lead to deviation in the size of the carton.
Maintain the electrical system: Maintain the electrical system every six months. Check whether the wires are damaged or aged, and replace them in time if necessary; maintain the motor, including cleaning the dust inside the motor, checking the wear of the carbon brushes, etc., to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the electrical system.
Basis for setting the maintenance cycle
Frequency of equipment use: If the carton machine works for a long time every day and is used frequently, the daily and regular maintenance cycle should be shortened appropriately. For example, for equipment that works more than 10 hours a day, daily cleaning and component inspection can be increased to 2-3 times a day; deep cleaning and comprehensive inspection of mechanical parts can be advanced to once a week.
Working environment: If the working environment of the equipment is poor, such as dusty, humid or corrosive gases, the maintenance cycle should also be shortened accordingly. In a dusty environment, dust is more likely to accumulate inside the equipment, affecting electrical and mechanical performance, so internal cleaning may be required once a week.
Degree of equipment aging: As the equipment ages, its components become more worn and aged. For carton machines that have been used for more than 3-5 years, regular maintenance items should be more detailed and the cycle should be appropriately shortened, such as parameter calibration every two months and a comprehensive electrical system inspection every quarter.
